Find out if your local water system maintains the recommended optimum fluoride level for your water supply.

The U.S. Dept. of Health's Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has an application that allows you to look up the fluoridation status of your water.  The fluoride found in toothpastes, mouth rinses and water plays an integral role in eliminating and reducing tooth decay.  Optimal fluoride levels recommended by the U.S. Public Health Service and CDC for drinking water range from 0.7 parts per million (ppm) for warmer climates to 1.2 ppm for cooler climates to account for the tendency for people to drink more water in warmer climates.
